Banana Bread with...
In class we have made our own Banana Bread. It was delicious. We have tweeked the recipe and added some of our own ingredients to give it a bit of a twist. Why not have a go yourself?
Banana Bread with Chocolate Spread

Loaf tin
Ingredients

225g caster sugar
-
285g plain flour
-
1tsp bicarbonate soda
-
110g butter
-
2 eggs
-
3 ripe bananas
-
85ml of milk
-
1tsp of lemon juice
-
Chocolate spread
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 180⁰C.
-
Grease the loaf tin.
-
Sift the flour and bicarbonate of soda into the large bowl.
-
In a different cream the butter and sugar.
-
Mash the bananas with a fork.
-
Add the 2 eggs, mashed bananas, milk and sugar.
-
Fold the flour into the other bowl.
-
Pour the mixture into the loaf tin.
-
Put the loaf tin into the oven to cook.
-
When finished in the oven get a knife and spread the chocolate spread on the bread.
Banana Bread with Nutella and Banana

ripe bananas (3)

plain flour (285g)

bicarbonate soda (1 tsp)

butter (110g)
-
eggs (2)
-
milk (85ml)
-
lemon juice (½ tsp)
-
caster sugar (225g)
-
nutella and bananas to finish

Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 180°C
-
Grease the loaf tin.
-
Sieve the flour and bicarbonate soda into a bowl.
-
In a different bowl cream together the butter and sugar.
-
Mash the bananas.
-
Add your (2) eggs, milk, mashed bananas and lemon juice then mix.
-
Fold in the flour.
-
Bake for about an hour.
-
Decorate with nutella and chopped bananas.
-
Eat with butter cream then you’re done.
Chocolate Banana Bread

2 eggs

100g melted chocolate
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
-
Grease the loaf tin with butter.
-
Sift the flour with the bicarbonate soda.
-
Cream the butter and the sugar in a different bowl.
-
Mash the bananas up.
-
Add eggs bananas milk and lemon juice.
-
Mix everything together.
-
Fold the flour with the chocolate.
-
Pour the mixer in the loaf tin.
-
Bake the cake about an hour.
