Grace's Carrot Halwa

 

Ingredients

  • Fresh carrots shredded 4 cups

  • Milk (3 cups)

  • Sugar (1 cup)

  • Ghee 8 table spoon

  • 10 cashew nuts

  • 1/8 tsp Cardamom

Instructions

  1. Wash peel and grate the carrots.

  2. Place a wide vessel so that the carrots get cooked fast and uniform.

  3. Add the shredded carrots into ghee and mix.

  4. Fry until the carrots turn pale.

  5. Use 3 cups of milk.

  6. Let the carrots get cooked well in the milk.

  7. Once the milk is completely absorbed add sugar.

  8. Place a small work in medium flame roast cashew nuts with 1 tbs of ghee.

  9. Crush the cashew nuts.

  10. Wait for sugar to get thick.

  11. Add the roast cashew nuts and powdered cardamom.

  12. Cook the halwa stir occasionally until the added ghee separated.
