Bouncy Eggs

 

How to make a Bouncy Egg

You will need

  • A container with a lid

  • One hardboiled egg (with shell on)

  • Regular white vinegar (enough to fill container)

  • Food colouring (optional)

Method

  • Hard boil an egg. Do not remove the shell from the egg.

  • Fill a jar or Tupperware container with regular white vinegar (add food colouring if required to colour the egg).

  • Place the hardboiled egg in the vinegar and make sure it is completely submerged.

  • Place a lid on your container and leave it somewhere safe but out of the sun.

  • Wait for the shell to completely dissolve. This process can take between 24 and 48 hours.

  • Remove the egg from the vinegar once the shell is completely gone.

  • Peel the remaining skin.

  • Rinse in cold water.

  • Wait for the egg to dry and then ... bounce.

Tip - Change vinegar daily for a better egg.
